Sweet and Sour Sauce

Makes 12 servings

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 1 1/4 cups water, in all
  • 1 cup prune preserves
  • 2 tablespoons Tiger Sauce (If unavailable, substitute Pickapeppa Sauce)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2 tablespoons ginger preserves

 

Instructions:

 

In a medium-sized sauce pan, bring 1 cup of water and all ingredients through corn starch to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and add the remaining 1/4 cup of water and the ginger preserves and continue to simmer until smooth and thickened, about 5 minutes.
