Makes 12 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 packs chicken-flavor ramen noodles
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds
- 3/4 stick butter
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
Ingredients for Dressing:
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- Seasoning packets from ramen noodles
Ingredients for Salad:
- 2 bags coleslaw (if desired, add purple cabbage for color)
- Optional: Chopped green and yellow pepper to add to slaw for a Mardi Gras theme
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Crumble the ramen noodles. Place all the ingredients in a pan with sides. Bake in the oven until lightly toasted.
To make dressing, put ingredients in sauce pan and cook on low until dissolved. Chill dressing before using.
To assemble salad, put dry ramen noodle mix on top of coleslaw and mix with the dressing.
