This recipe first appeared in Pirate's Pantry.
Make toast beds by cutting rounds from bread slices with biscuit cutter. Toast one side only by sautÃ©ing in a little butter. Mix next 8 ingredients. Pile mixture on untoasted side of bread rounds and sprinkle with paprika. Place under broiler until bubbly and slightly brown. May be made ahead, covered, and refrigerated; broil just before serving.
