Dear Louisiana Cookin’,
Love your publication. My wife and I were first introduced to Louisiana Cookin’ while staying in a B&B on a trip back to Louisiana. As a native and 40-plus year resident of Lafourche Parish, I grew up eating great Louisiana dishes and miss both the people and food of Louisiana since leaving in the mid-90’s. Now we are subscribers to your publication, and we like the writing and the artwork in your magazine. My brain looks forward to receiving each edition of Louisiana Cookin’.

Shannon,
I have served Austin Leslie’s Black-Eyed Pea and Okra Soup (from your February issue) to several people now. All loved it and wanted the recipe. What a treat! This is the kind of recipe I would like to see more often in your magazine. The ingredients, prep time, and cooking instructions can all be handled by those of us who are not professional chefs, and yet the results are magnificent!
Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

I have been very fortunate to receive the Louisiana Cookin' magazine as a Christmas gift for several years from a very dear friend in Mississippi. The quality of the magazine, and the uniqueness of the recipes have made this a very special gift that I treasure more with each issue received. I have saved every issue, and proudly display them with my other cookbooks! Thanks to Louisiana Cookin'and to my very special friend Dawn Parker!

Dear Louisiana Cookin’,
Geez! What a nice book. Somehow a copy of Louisiana Cookin’ came to my salon recently, and I beat the ladies to the book and am pleasantly surprised. It’s really nice to get a magazine that features local recipes with ingredients that are available in the area. So many times cookbooks have good recipes but call for ingredients that are not available locally, if at all. I don’t want to miss a single copy of your great book. Thanks so much.

I just picked up a copy of your publication in the lobby of the Provincial Hotel. Just now got around to looking at it. Wow. What a great little magazine! First class! So much good stuff is coming from the best dining City in the World.
