  2. I lived in Lafayette from 82 til 87 when the oil field crashed and had to move. I love the people, the food and the fa-do-do ! Can’t wait to be back.

  3. boudin, head cheese, gumbo, jambalaya, orsters [sic], po’boys, muffulettas, beignets, chicory coffee, laissez-les-bon-temps-roulez! i met my husband, John, in NOLA, and i miss the food and the people BIG-TIME! (but note that i put food first.)

  4. I have for many years been a subscriber to Louisiana Cookin and give an annual gift subscription to eight friends that also read each page from front to back using many recipes. Would never consider giving up my subscription!

  5. Love NOLA and Louisiana, Community Coffee, Jazz Fest, THE MUSIC, ZYDECO music and Tab Benoit and his wetlands band, love everything about NOLA! Love the gospel choirs, and ALL THE FOOD! Po’Boys and Kevin Belton’s recipes!!
    It’s a Fun place to visit! Love the WWll museum…..so much history, love all the ghost stories and Voodoo…..

    I enjoy going to the book store to purchase my copies now…..people ask why Louisiana cooking?? I say, until you go there and try the food, the music, the adventures of Louisiana, you need to experience it! Then you will know why!!
