Camellia Creole Red Beans

Ingredients
- 1 package of Camellia Brand Creole Red Bean Seasoning
- 1 (1-pound) package of Camellia Brand Red Kidney Beans, rinsed and sorted
- 8-10 cups of water
- Cooked rice
Instructions
- In a heavy pot, add 1 pound Camellia Brand Red Kidney Beans, rinsed and sorted, plus 8-10 cups of water.
- Bring beans to a boil for 10 minutes.
- Stir in Creole Red Bean Seasoning.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer, stirring occasionally for 1 to 1 ½ hours or until beans are tender.

The onion, bell and celery is the holy trinity back home. You dont actually need to add any packet of anything unless you want to just have pepper, salt and if youre serving locals you best have a bottle of ketchup for them to squirt some on, outta towners try a little at a time to taste, trust me you dont put ketchup in for your guests just simply have it on hand and if you have red bean noobs at your table you dont want them overdoing it and then claiming your red beans tasted bad. Pickled pig tips would be a nice addition but thats a whole nother style of red beans, 🙂
