If you’re dreaming of a White Christmas, you can get that and a lot more at Sulphur’s Christmas Under the Oaks Festival on December 4-5, 2015! The festival will be held at 1015 Ruth St. in Heritage Square and at the Henning Cultural Center. The celebration will include a Holiday House market, carnival rides, live entertainment, the Spectacle of Lights, the Kiwanis Christmas Lighted parade, a petting zoo, and a 100% chance of snow! The Holiday House features more than 25 different shops with Christmas decorations, gifts, ornaments and plenty more. Carnival rides start at 4 p.m. Friday and continue until 10 p.m. & from noon – 10 p.m. on Saturday. Don’t miss the Kiwanis Christmas Lighted Parade Friday evening! It will feature plenty of lighted floats and balloons — the only parade of its kind in the area. The Spectacle of Lights and the traditional lighting of the city’s tree — complete with snow flurries — will take place Saturday evening. For more information on Sulphur’s Christmas events, contact the Henning Cultural Center at 337-527-0357 or visit www.brimstonemuseum.org.
