Each year, Louisiana Cookin’ honors six chefs on the rise with the Chefs to Watch Dinner, a one-night-only experience featuring all six chefs under one roof. Each of the dinner’s six courses showcases a dish created and prepared by one the chefs.
And for the second year running, the Chefs to Watch Dinner will be held in the famed main dining room of Galatoire’s.
A beloved Creole restaurant since it opened in 1905, Galatoire’s has delighted generations of guests with its well-preserved culinary traditions and style. Today, it continues to serve as a hallmark of New Orleans cuisine and culture in the heart of the French Quarter.

An equally important aspect of the Louisiana Cookin’ Chefs to Watch Dinner is taking the opportunity to give back to charitable organizations doing positive work in the state of Louisiana.
This year, proceeds from the dinner will go to the Galatoire Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to serving the city and region that has patronized the historic restaurant for more than a century.
The Galatoire Foundation was formed in 2010 to provide a framework for the restaurant’s numerous community activities, such as Galatoire’s annual Mardi Gras and holiday table auctions.
Since their inception in 2006, these table auctions alone have raised $2.2 million in support of local organizations, including Audubon Nature Institute, Boys Hope Girls Hope, Café Reconcile, Edible Schoolyard New Orleans, New Orleans Mission, and more
Join us at Galatoire’s on Monday, August 19, at 6:30 p.m. as we honor the Louisiana Cookin’ 2019 Chefs to Watch and support the work of the Galatoire Foundation. Click here to reserve your seat for this special occasion.
