Cane River Pecan Company is a gourmet pecan company that was started in 1969 by the Regard family, who owned several pecan orchards in Natchitoches Parish. Originally, the company sold the bulk of its pecan harvest directly to regional shellers. The company opened a small pecan shop in downtown Natchitoches in 1982 before expanding into corporate gifting. The demand was so high that Cane River Pecan Company began offering a selection of natural pecans that are great as a treat or recipe ingredient. Today, Cane River Pecan Company is based in the Regard family’s hometown of New Iberia, where customers can visit the company store for all of its best-selling factory treats and specialty items.
