  1. 2 ounces bourbon, such as Angel’s Envy
  2. ¾ ounce fresh lemon juice
  3. ¾ ounce Cinnamon Syrup, recipe follows
  4. ½ ounce pimento or allspice dram liqueur
  5. 1 large egg white
  6. 1 dash Angostura bitters
  7. Garnish: star anise
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine bourbon, lemon juice, Cinnamon Syrup, pimento liqueur, and egg white. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Add ice, and shake until cold. Strain into a coupe glass. Add bitters, and garnish with star anise, if desired.

  1. 1 cup water
  2. 2 cups sugar
  3. 1 (4-inch) cinnamon stick
  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup water to a boil over high heat. Add sugar, and stir constantly until dissolved. Add cinnamon, and simmer 5 to 8 minutes. Remove from heat, and let cool. Remove cinnamon, and transfer syrup to a heatproof container. Cover, and refrigerate until cold. Store up to 2 weeks.
